We took a temple trip with our branch at the end of May.

Will and Julie Biesinger from Springville, Utah--our branch president

Jerry caught in the act of pontificating

Our trip to the Prado was too short, but as a birthday celebration for Jerry it was pretty spectacular! I can cross it off my lifelist.

I friendsied up with a street musican.
He made me want to dance!
We were delighted to rendezvous briefly with Roland and Gloria--fresh off the boat, bleary-eyed--but ready to begin their 18 month self-reliance service mission in Madrid! My socks inspired her to take up knitting!!! She's good!!
These are very delicious "bubble waffles" which were wrapped like a cone around ice cream!
Groom's party--some jolly friendly English blokes
Tapas at a GIANT tapa market!
Cathedral
Bronze sculpture in front of cathedral entitled "Homeless Jesus"
I spotted Richard sitting across from me waiting in the airport. His shirt caught my attention. An hour's conversation ensued about el Camino de Santiago! Richard is Brazilian. What a delightful way to end our short trip to Madrid! It almost compensated for the sleepless night I spent in the temple dorm with a snoring roommate--not Jerry!!
