Through the Trampoline Net

I carry around a little semi-inconsequential Canon point and shoot.  It fits in my purse, and I take it everywhere.  I love the 40 power zoom.  You can invade people's lives with nary a whimper from them.

This was a family gathering--momentous for me because it was the first time I'd had all twelve of the grandkids together because three were born while we were in China.

I stood up on the deck away from all the action and took perhaps 60 pictures.  The surprise came when I downloaded and edited them.  It made me incredibly emotional to look at them.  The motion and the hair and the smiles and the sweet interactions just completely overcame me.

When you try and pose people you don't get this.

Duck duck goose!

This would have lost 85% of its charm had we posed it.

I love the one-legged Clara!

Calvin must have done something so funny.

This made me gasp.  Lily is so beautiful!

And my favorite shot--Calvin doing up the zipper.  I am not sure why I find it so completely charming.

I think the backshot is as cute as the frontshot!

A home run shot I could never have posed.  Ever.

Norah is so utterly joyful!

Thank you, dandy little camera.  Great fun!
