It isn't every day that I have a Peruvian in my classroom--but this year I do in the form of a 12 year old boy. And it certainly is a special day when a large llama puppet is sitting on top of my desk. But call it planet collision (if you will) when both events occur AND said Peruvian informs me that in Peru they call llamas "jamas"!!! Totally GO FIGURE! A new day--a new fact...

Lily still loves her llama.
Of course! The double "l"! I never ever thought of it as a Spanish word. Wonder how many other words are lurking out there, waiting for their national roots to be re-discovered? And I love the Dog-God video. Someone sent it to me a few weeks ago and I actually teared up. Sweet doggy memories!
On a totally different note, when are you getting in next week? I have Friday afternoon from 2-4. Oh I hope I hope that works for you!
