My sister, Norma, and her husband Theron dropped off in Morocco for awhile on their way home from the Holy Land. Before they had time to question us, we whisked them off on our neighborhood tour. First stop? Henna hands!
For a professional lab tech, she looks a little squeemish!
One of our partners treated us to a night in a Berber restaurant complete with very loud festive music. Disappointed that belly dancers weren't part of the deal.
So pleased to introduce our guests to Mo and Hmoudou--two of our faves.
We took the train to Marrakech. This adorable child receives therapy at Mo's clinic. Her kind therapist is one of several we are growing fond of.
Abdul's "rug show" included flames this time! Always a true Moroccan experience when you show up at Gallerie Marzouk!
At the mosque in the medina
Market wares--Norma passed these up, but she did buy an unusual amount of wooden camels!
We took a day trip into the Ourika Valley.

Tour of a Berber home
This stores water, I believe. This just in!! It's a butter churn! Even cooler.
Fresh poultry!
A kidless swing
When we stopped for lunch I zoomed in on a family enjoying the river.
So attentive and gentle.
I never tire of Moroccan families.
Lunch band!
And yes, lunch was IN the river!

How fun to have your sister there! I think Sue and Rob Mikkelsen went to this same restaurant. It's a great way to keep cool!
