What's Wrong With This Picture?
I'm fine with most everything in this picture. The motor scooter is obviously being maximized. The family is all together--that's got to be good for a kid's outlook on himself. The baby in the back is securely bound to his mom--he's not going anywhere unless she goes there! All in all it looks like a heck of a lot of fun. It reminds me of similar instances of entire dwellings stacked up and being moved on a bicycle which I saw in Beijing a few times. So...what's wrong with this picture? Hint--the little guy in the bucket. No, he looks pretty comfortable and content, I know. BUT, if the men on this bike are in coats, WHY OH WHY is that baby bare necked??????

I pray that this is a product of someone's mad photoshop skills.
I saw stuff like this with my very own eyes, so I think not.
Did you see the movie "Babies" that was released earlier this year? This photo reminded me of the scene where the Mongolian mother leaves the hospital after giving birth and straddles onto the back of a motorcycle, along with the rest of the family. OUCH!
After you uncross your legs you then notice that she's holding the infant in her bare hands. No car seat, no baby carrier, nothing. Then they speed off on a bumpy road. OUCH AGAIN!
Yes, I saw babies and loved it. Resilient little suckers, aren't they? Hi Becca!!
I also suspect photoshop in this case - although I believe that things like this happen in real life. It is the fact that he is not dressed the same that makes me think this one is a hoax. For the baby's sake I hope so!
I hate to say this, but while I was very much looking forward to Babies, and enjoyed the concept, I found myself completely bored about halfway in. To me, it seemed like they could have made the point in about half the time. Also, my husband was going to go round the bend if one more mammary gland popped onto the screen. So we quit. I'll have to try to watch the whole thing by myself sometime.
That is quite the photo, so scary!
To answer your question, I have had quite a few people tell me my baby looks like my dad. So funny! How crazy that you know Merrilee!!! Tell her I say hello.
